Product Update: SharePoint Discussion Forum 2010

We’re glad to announce that there’s an updated version of the TOZIT SharePoint Discussion Forum for SharePoint 2010 available.
The new version includes these among other fixes and improvements:
Multi Site Caching
Description:
When you’re deploying the discussion forum to more than one site or site collection, the caching mechanism now recognizes the differences between the sites and will keep the caches isolated per-site instead of sharing the cache.

Performance improvements and isolation of cached data.
Basic Attachments
Description:
We’ve been getting a lot of requests for adding attachments to the discussion forum for a while, and we’re happy to let you know that you can now add a basic attachment to any new post in the discussion forum.

UI Improvements and end-user adoption.
Performance
Description:
The product makes smarter and more efficient queries than before and have a few more settings to enable or disable the display/rendering of user statistics.
By disabling the user stats, you can increase the performance if you’re experiencing heavy load on the discussion forums.

Settings persistence
Description:
When you’re saving the Web Part Properties (product settings), the product now stores the information in a smarter way.
Goal:
Fix an issue with properties not being properly persisted over time or after an IISRESET/Application Pool Recycle/Server Reboot.
